Who I actually listen to about health

Who I actually listen to about health

Let’s be real. There’s so much junk out there. You know what I’m talking about. Those videos with AI robot voices, the same 5 seconds of stock footage looped to death, and someone screaming that cinnamon cures cancer. I mean c’mon.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And if you see these videos on social media with no name, no credentials, and claims like “eat one magic fruit and never diet again” — walk away. Actually, run. Run like someone just offered you a low-fat muffin.

I even have a few friends who share this stuff on Facebook. I love them, but I also want to shake them. This isn’t just annoying. It’s dangerous. That kind of misinformation confuses people who are really trying to make changes.

Spotting Fake Health Advice Online

It’s easier than you think once you know what to look for. Here’s a little cheat sheet I go by:

  • Weird website links or random domains that look like someone just smashed the keyboard
  • No author name , or worse, an author who’s known for spreading garbage
  • Headlines that scream for attention but deliver nothing real
  • Articles with zero sources or quoting studies from 1972
  • Bad grammar , blurry photos, and copy-pasted content from who-knows-where

Once you start noticing these red flags, you won’t be able to unsee them. And that’s a good thing!

Who Do I Actually Trust?

Let me introduce you to the real MVPs in my health journey. Two doctors who completely changed the way I looked at food, weight, and health overall. Dr Ken Berry and Dr Jason Fung. These guys know their stuff and have helped thousands of people. They show their faces, share real research, and they don’t sugarcoat things (pun fully intended).

Check them out for yourself:

Dr Jason Fung

They’ve got legit credentials, great videos, and actual results to back it all up. Compare their content to the nonsense out there and the difference is night and day.

My Blog Is Based on Real Stuff

Look, I’m not claiming to be a doctor. But I do share what worked for me, backed up by people like Dr Berry and Dr Fung, and years of obsessively researching everything health-related. Plus, I tested it all on myself. I was obese. I had nothing to lose except weight and brain fog.

I figured out what worked. What didn’t. And spoiler alert, it always came back to logic. Not some miracle fruit. Not cutting one weird food. Just honest changes and discipline.

Can We Talk About Disclaimers?

You’ll notice all the real experts have disclaimers. That’s for legal reasons. But let’s apply some common sense here. If you’re overweight, constantly tired, eating junk, drinking soda like it’s water; do you really need to ask your doctor if it’s okay to cut out sugar and processed crap? No. You don’t. Just stop. Seriously.

And yeah, I’ve had friends try keto or intermittent fasting and say it didn’t work. But nine times out of ten they didn’t actually do it right. Or long enough. Or they cheated every weekend. Then blamed the diet. Nah. That’s just going back to old habits.

Diets Are Temporary. This Is a Lifestyle.

I hate the word diet. Diets are temporary. This is a lifestyle. And it works. Keto works. Carnivore works. Intermittent fasting works. Our bodies were never built to eat six times a day. Or snack every 30 minutes. Even 60 or 70 years ago, our grandparents weren’t guzzling energy drinks and smashing fast food every day.

Why I Care So Much

I’ve been a web developer and digital marketer for years. I’ve seen how easy it is to manipulate people online. And yeah, I used to fall for it too. Took me a while to figure out who to trust and what to ignore. But now that I know better, I want to help others get there faster.

I don’t want anyone wasting years of their life following junk advice. Or feeling like a failure because they followed a bad plan. I want people to take back control of their health. And I want them to do it smart.

My Health Source Bottom Line

Intermittent fasting isn’t a fad. Keto isn’t a trend. These are lifestyle changes that actually make sense when you stop listening to bad advice and start listening to your body.

Trust real experts. Use logic. And most of all, stop thinking a chocolate sauce cleanse is gonna save your life. Stay curious. Stay consistent. And stay away from Facebook health experts with no shirt on or giant bellies.
